In the non-ferrous metal recycling industry in Chenzhou, China, the 315kVA DC arc furnace has become the core equipment for processing tin slag. Chenzhou XX Environmental Protection and other enterprises have deployed this equipment in bulk for the treatment of tin lead ore smelting slag and other tin containing waste. The transformer has a capacity of 315kVA and adopts a PLC intelligent control system. It uses 0.25 second fast response electrode adjustment technology to accurately adjust the smelting range of 1500-1600 ° C. This is complemented by a graphite electrode with a diameter of 200mm to achieve stable arc heating.
This device is designed to reduce tin oxides with carbonaceous reducing agents for residual metal tin content ranging from 40% to 70%, achieving a tin recovery rate of over 99%. The equipment adopts a hydraulic inclined unloading design and has been optimized for the production line layout of small and medium-sized enterprises in Chenzhou. Its cooling water system is connected to the provincial ecological environment department for real-time monitoring to ensure compliance with smoke and wastewater discharge standards.
At present, each set of equipment processes an average of 10 tons of tin slag per day and recovers over 4000 tons of tin metal annually. This promotes a circular economy model, namely ‘producing gold from slag’.
